MY PHILOSOPHY

Leadership
At its core, leadership is about aligning people, processes, and resources to achieve a shared goal.
My experience in education administration has proven that communication and team development are the only ways to bring visions of progress to fruition. The multitude of overlapping projects within a school each require careful planning, execution, and iteration - none of which can happen without a solid team. From coordinating school-wide initiatives to designing instructional systems, my work has consistently involved leading teams, optimizing workflows, and driving results.
Both the large and small-scale initiatives I have managed required balancing strategic vision with logistical execution. Whether implementing a new Advisory curriculum, developing automated data systems, or designing teacher training programs, my approach is rooted in systems thinking and continuous improvement.
Whether educating children or adults, the human being needs to be considered first.
The most effective curriculum uses the subject matter to connect to the individual at the other end. As curriculum writers or deliverers of content, we have the opportunity and responsibility to act as facilitators of meaningful learning experiences.
My goal is always to spark curiosity, inspire growth, and empower learners through leveraging technology, data, and creative design. Above all, I believe content needs to be relevant to learners in such a way that they can connect new concepts to their personal and professional lives. Research also shows that when individuals feel a sense of ownership in their learning, they are more likely to engage with the content. I have found that interactive, project-based, or gamified experiences help to accomplish this.
